The SOC Advantage

Within two days of the founding of Illinois State University, the Forensics Union was founded. It was the first student organization on campus. Our legacy is over 150 years old. In that time we continue to have the following:

• hands-on experience for students in co-curricular activities
• small class sizes with individualized attention from professors who have won 19 university teaching awards since 2001 as well as numerous regional and national awards
• constant focus on tranferring theory to practice in professional settings
