The School of Communication is very proud to be the largest academic unit at the College of Arts and Sciences.  We have nearly 850 majors studying in areas of journalism, mass media, communication studies, communication studies - teacher education and public relations, and I'm happy to report that once again our masters program is one of the best in the country.

Our student organizations are nationally known for their work.  Recently, Lambda Pi Eta, our honors fraternity, was rewarded as being the national fraternity of the year.  Comm, our student organization for communication opportunities for majors and minors, received a national student club of the year award from the national communication association.

Our faculty members continue to excel and be leaders in scholarship, service, and teaching.  As a matter of fact, since 2001, our faculty have won over 19 university teaching awards.
